With us being stuck in the house during lockdown and Arthur being too young for a big play set you normally see for hire, we decided to try something a little different! We hired this amazing material covered soft foam play set from Sarah at DaisyChain for Arthur to explore and see if we could progress his physical development too. Arthur had hours of fun over the 4 day hire sitting in the ball pool, looking at the different coloured balls and touching all the textures of the sensory balls. He really enjoyed rolling balls down the ramp to his mummy and was so excited when mummy rolled it back so he could catch it. He was really engaged! We tried out all the shapes in different combinations to give him new challenges, it was really easy to move around. He loved to sit and try to pull himself up on the soft ramps and even rolled backwards down the ramp hysterically! Because of the material, they are super soft, so he didn’t hurt himself. Arthur had just turned 7 months old when we hired the soft play so he was only moving around by rolling. Not long after having the soft play, he is now crawling! With playgroups and soft play centres still closed, I treated the kids by hiring out this brilliant equipment for the day from @daisychain_playlearngrow which included soft, foamy climbing shapes, balls and other sensory toys to help with development, balance, coordination, agility and strength. Also included in my tailored package was several wooden educational toys aimed at older toddlers, which Olive got stuck into straight away. Floyd loved the mini ball pool with the black, white and red sensory balls and spent ages examining them (and trying to eat them). The equipment was dropped off on my doorstep in protective covers and was all machine washed and cleaned prior to delivery. There are no rules when it comes to arranging the equipment. The foamy shapes can be positioned however you like, meaning they're suitable for spaces of all shapes and sizes. I have quite a small living room and don't have the space in my house to own anything like this all the time, so hiring it out for the day was perfect for us. My package was delivered in the morning and collected later that day after we had a good run of the equipment. I highly recommend Daisy Chain! I have two very happy (and tired) kiddos ❤️
Not having access to playparks meant that access to big physical equipment is so important to help develop core strength and agility. Anwyn borrowed the "Balance" package for 5 days, enough time for her to explore it by herself, with her best friend and really get confident with equipment she'd not seen before. The rings are amazing, they can be used in so many different ways. Over the five days, after a few falls and bumps, she really grew in confidence with them. It really helped develop her balance and climbing - she still asks to play with them now and they've been gone for weeks! It was lovely watching her explore the spinner too, from being unsure what it did to showing Amelia what to do, and great that she can spin herself around. She wasn't so interested in stacking the colourful pebbles, but they were great in combination with the shapes for imaginative play, matching and sorting games, and she even tried balancing them on her head and walking around! We'd definitely hire this kit again. The new and exciting equipment would be great for a play-date / party / just for a rainy weekend.

Really enjoyed the explore set and all the different sensory balls that came with it. Didn't expect to have those but they were a nice addition to help Antigone warm up faster. Very professionally made a activity pack gave us some idea re how to get the most out of our 2 day hire.
After browsing the Daisy Chain website, Sarah was fantastic helping choose the right package for my little boy, Harry. Harry has started to show a real interest in black and white prints and so the ‘engage’ package seemed perfect for us!
On delivery, Sarah wore a face covering and all the equipment had been cleaned beforehand. I couldn’t wait to have a look what was in the bag- and it didn’t disappoint. The play mat was made with different prints and textures and there were shapes with sensory items in each. Harry LOVED the mat when he finally woke up. He spent a long time on his tummy looking at all the different prints. The tunnel was exciting for Harry he loved being in there. So much so, he started to try to roll over, this continued for the time we had the equipment and it gave him a real desire to keep trying. He also loved reaching out for the soft toys especially the ball. Something Harry hasn’t really done until he had all this exciting black and white play set in front of him.
We hired the set for 5 days and Harry loved every second. It was fun for me and his dad to engage with him and, developmentally he really benefited from exploring the new equipment. Sarah was really supportive throughout. Checking how we were getting on and offering tips of advice! I would highly recommend hiring equipment from Daisy Chain and will DEFINITELY hire the grey set when Harry is a little older.
